Improving mobility in the municipalities of the center of the Algarve will once again be debated at the 2nd Participatory Forum held within the scope of the Interurban Mobility Study (EMI) of the Algarve Central network of cities.

The initiative takes place on January 12, at 15 pm, in the auditorium of the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, in Faro and is open to the entire population.

The EMI, from which you can get more information online, is being developed by the Municipalities of Faro, Albufeira, Loulé, Olhão, S. Brás de Alportel and Tavira and is a project co-financed by the FEDER, under the PO Algarve 21 through the operation «Cities Policy – Urban Networks for Competitiveness and Innovation».

The aim of the study is to analyze the current and future mobility needs of the population in the Central Algarve and propose measures aimed at improving the mobility and transport system in the territory covered.

"Because mobility is a subject that, these days, directly or indirectly interests everyone and because it is an opportune time to create integrated solutions to improve the public transport system, particularly with regard to regional rail transport in the Algarve Line and issues related to the intermodality between the various modes of transport (hourly, tariff and transshipment conditions) that coexist in the territory of the Central Algarve, the Municipality of Faro launched a broad invitation to the entire population in order to gather as much input as possible in this participatory Forum», revealed the Chamber of Faro, in a press release.
