Following the success of the first two editions of the tournament, Stefan Schwarz and Sporting Events Limited will hold the 3rd edition of The Atlantic Cup at Estádio Algarve, from January 24th to February 1st. The 2013 edition will feature five teams from Europe.

Three teams will fight for victory in the competition, while the other two will play friendly matches. Among these is Sporting Clube Farense, which returns to European games in The Atlantic Cup.

Two teams, KF Skenderbeu and Silkeborg IF , will be present at the tournament for the first time. KF Skenderbeu is the current champion of the Albanian league. Silkeborg IF is one of the main clubs in the Danish Superliga.

The current coach, Viggo Jensen, was the assistant coach of the Danish national team when they won the European Championship in Sweden in 1992.

This year the competition, which runs from January 24th to February 1st, will once again feature the presence of top clubs in Europe, with all matches taking place at the Estádio Algarve.

Sporting Events Limited believes that with the hotel infrastructure, individual training camps, Portuguese hospitality, together with Sporting Events Limited's experience in this market, the event will once again be a tournament worth remembering.

Also important is the support of the Municipalities of Loulé and Faro to the organization of this tournament.

The teams for the 3rd edition of The Atlantic Cup will be the following: Rapid Vienna (currently first place in the Austrian League), Silkeborg IF (Superliga Denmark) and KF Skenderbeu (Champions of the Superliga Albanian).

The two teams that will play only friendly matches are SC Farense (Portugal) and SV Mattersberg (Austria)

The Atlantic Cup 2013 will be played in “round robin” (by groups), with each team playing two group games and one friendly. The points accumulated between the three games will only count towards the three competing clubs. The team with the most points will be the winner of the Tournament.

After the last game, the cup will be handed over to the winner of The Atlantic Cup 2013 tournament.

The ticket cost will be €5 for one game and €10 for two games (to be played on the same day).

Children up to 16 years old will have free entry.
