APOS – Association for the Valorization of the Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Olhão will launch in February the cycle of debates «(Re)Thinking Olhão».

The first session of the cycle, under the theme “The New Challenges of Local Management”, is scheduled for February 2nd, at Sociedade Recreativa Olhanense, at 16 pm and will have university professor António Covas as a guest.

According to APOS, the idea is to take advantage of the fact that 2013 is a year with local elections to launch a debate on some issues that are of great importance to Olhão, as well as to contribute to increasing civic participation and citizenship.

"It is intended that this initiative will contribute to a broad debate of the entire civil society of Olhano", adds the association.
