The European Commission will modernize and improve the European network of EURE job searchS. Changes to modernize the network involve helping jobseekers to get in touch with employers more easily, focusing attention on sectors and occupations where there are fewer qualifications, and supporting mobility activities specific to young people.

With these measures, the Commission intends to increase the mobility of workers between Member States and open the way to a true European labor market.

Despite high unemployment rates (over 25 million people in the EU), there are still labor shortages and difficult vacancies to promote.

The new changes must be implemented by the Commission and the Member States by January 2014 at the latest, but Member States are free to proceed before the deadline depending on their need for services.

What is Eures?

No Portal Events Calendar You can also consult information workshops on the use of the portal, which take place across Europe.
