Products to be developed in the Algarve created under the European project CREAMED, which in Portugal had as a partner APGICO - Portuguese Association for Creativity and Innovation, were presented on Tuesday, in Faro, at the regional closing session of the project.

The Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve welcomed specialists and entrepreneurs who had the opportunity to learn about the activities and results of the initiative.

The closing session's program also included a seminar dedicated to the theme «New Products for the Algarve» whose objective was to carry out a prospective analysis of the continuity of CREAMED, a project financed by the European Union through MED – Transnational Cooperation Program for the Mediterranean 2007 -2013.

«The invited experts, in addition to giving their opinion on the new products presented, suggested solutions and entities that could participate in their development. Young entrepreneurs, on the other hand, made themselves available to contribute with their know-how for the execution of these projects», revealed the organization.

APGICO, one of eleven partners from eight CREAMED countries, had the collaboration of the regional nucleus of ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs in promoting this event.

The seminar was attended by Fernando de Sousa, from APGICO, as well as a panel of experts composed by Paulo Bernardo, from ANJE Algarve, Rui Cabral e Silva, from the Faculty of Science and Technology at UAlg, and Castelão Rodrigues, formerly Regional Director of Agriculture.

Representatives of two companies that presented new products in the sea and agri-food sectors were also present, namely Luís Salas, project manager at Necton, and Humberto Teixeira, general director of the Hubel Group. Young entrepreneurs with projects in these fields of activity also participated in the session.
