The work «Alphabet of Knowledge» will be presented on Thursday, at 19 pm, at the Paulo Freire auditorium of the Superior School of Education and Communication (ESEC), on the Penha Campus of the University of Algarve in Faro. From today until Friday, the ESEC lobby will host an exhibition with the same name.

The book/catalogue and the exhibition are the result of the «Alfabeto do Conhecimento» project, of which the Algarve association In Loco is one of the partners, which also produced a website. In it, more than fifty authors participated, who make known different concepts, stories and images.

The presentation invites «to participate in a debate/reflection on a proposal of reflective views on the world and also diverse fragments of recent history. Each letter is a gateway to a theme, presented by a researcher, a journalist and a photographer, allowing us to cross different forms of training, informing, communicating and influencing».

«Resulting from a partnership between the Association for Cooperation between Peoples, the Center for Studies on Africa and Development and the IN LOCO Association, this book/catalogue and exhibition is a working tool, an exercise, intended to be pedagogical, of restless citizenship, always ready to relearn, think and act», summarizes In Loco.

The exhibition and the work «Alphabet of Development» reach Faro after passing through Covilhã, Aveiro, Leiria, Coimbra, Santarém, Lisbon, Palmela and São Brás de Alportel.
