On the eve of Christmas, the Consul General of Brazil in Faro, Manuel Innocencio, welcomed the Brazilian students and took the opportunity to “leave the doors open” of the consular office, as another point of support and meeting with Brazil.

“In fact, not so foreign, as the familiarity of the language and customs, the historical ties and the affections that bring us together, make Portugal, and, above all, this charming corner of the country that is the Algarve, an extension of our home ”, says Manuel Innocencio.

The dimension of the Science without Borders Program was also focused on by the Consul General, which is, in itself, “the testimony of the great concern and commitment of the Brazilian Government with the training and high training of young people in the priority areas of exact sciences, of the technology, information technology, among others equally important, with the objective of integrating them into the growing labor market in Brazil”.

In his opinion, “this program meets the two main agendas of the Government of Brazil: education and innovation. It also provides the opportunity for national talents to access the labor market, in addition to reflecting, in the variety of priority training areas, the immense ethnic and regional diversity and the need for multiple skills.”
