CECAL – Center for Experimentation and Artistic Creation of Loulé, in Parque Municipal, promotes, from December 17th to 21st, a Workshop with DJ Del Monteez.
This initiative, which runs from 15:00 pm to 17:00 pm, is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 18, music lovers, who wish to start this activity by obtaining some basic knowledge.

DJ Del Monteez was born in 1982, in Faro. He discovered his passion for music at the age of 15, when he was making beatboxing and rap lyrics for fun, with a group of friends, where over time they evolved and formed a Rap group (UPK) that today still exists.
With the enormous influence of dance music that took place in the 90s, his visits to Kadoc and Locomia aroused his interest in the work of DJs. At the age of 16, he bought a groove box and began producing Rap and Electronic music; at 17, he bought the rest of the material and began his first contact with records.
He mixed Technno, House, Tribal and Rap with his band, doing school parties, year-end birthdays, among others. In 2000 he had his first real experience as a DJ, and since then he has never stopped.
In 2006 Del Monteez immigrated to Paris where he met Killa Sound Yeard, a group of Dub Reggae and Rap, with whom Del Monteez started working in the production and scratch part, working partially in clubs, and supporting the organization of events.
He has already played alongside Pete de Zouk, King Beez, João Maria, Porno Star Ibiza among other big names in this area. Del Monteez participates in several projects and bands with a huge musical diversity and different skills. Nowadays he plays Rap, Minimal, Techouse, Deephouse with a strong ethnic influence. Del Monteez is a self-taught artist whose music is defined in four words: ethnic, daring, energetic, unpredictable, progressive, with Latin, African and Oriental influences.
Del Monteez promotes DJ workshops, and is a free lance DJ Producer. He has also been a resident in several nightlife venues and participated in events in the region.
