Last Saturday, December 15th, was the day of giant bolo-rei in Olhão. Chef Filipe Martins decided to offer his fellow countrymen more than 70 meters of this typical Christmas sweet, sweetening the mouths of the people who spent the morning at Largo da Restauração.

The owner of the Kubidoce pastry shop fulfilled a dream by making around 250 kilos of dough of two types of king cake for many hours, the traditional one with candied fruit and one created by him with chocolate, cashew and almonds.

Both were the delights of thousands of people who tasted the specialties of the young pastry chef.

The Municipality of Olhão, which has supported this initiative from the outset, namely by helping in logistical terms and publicizing the event, praises the initiative of the businessman from Olhão, and its president Francisco Leal and vice president António Pina made a point of making an appointment presence in this initiative, helping the boss and other employees to distribute king cakes to the population, on what was a day of celebration in the city of Olho.
