The group exhibition “Tempo”, by the students of teacher Lídia Almeida, is on display at Galeria Municipal de Albufeira, from January 4th to February 2nd.
The exhibition displays several works by graduates who attend Lídia Almeida's teaching atelier. The plastic artist has a degree in Fine Arts and a Master in Inca Art.
Throughout his career, he specialized in different techniques, including dry pastel, stained glass, painting on porcelain, sculpture, among others.
The artists will be present at the Municipal Gallery on January 5, between 15:00 pm and 17:00 pm, to socialize with friends and guests.
January 5th marks the start of two other shows. At the Pintor Samora Barros Art Gallery, the exhibition “Retalhos” by Anabela Alambre opens. The painter, born in Albufeira, presents her canvases that deal with the theme of paper. The show will run until January 28th.
The Lídia Jorge Municipal Library is also preparing to host the painting exhibition “Experimentações” by Clara Andrade. From the 5th to the 26th of January, the artist publishes her most recent work, which, according to her, is the result of “a journey of rehearsals and attempts to find something hidden. A revelation, maybe.”
Clara de Andrade has been drawing and painting since she can remember. He attended the painting course at the Sociedade de Belas Artes and has works in oil and acrylic on canvas, and mixed techniques.
