«Sport in Portimão – new times, new challenges» is the theme of another debate in the Teia d'Ideias cycle, scheduled for November 14, at 21 pm, at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes, in Portimão, in an initiative of Teia D' Impulsos – Social, Cultural and Sports Association (TDI), in partnership with the Municipality of Portimão and Rádio Costa D'Oiro.

The organization emphasizes that “sport has become increasingly important in society. It presents a character of social cohesion and consolidation of citizenship, thus assuming a key role in the socialization process, mainly because sporting activities are linked to social development. However, the increasingly larger and more recent changes in the support models and their restrictions lead us to question which path we should follow, thus showing the relevance of the topic under discussion».

The discussion panel will include councilwoman Isabel Guerreiro, Luís Romão, from the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, Fernando Rocha, president of Portimonense Sporting Clube, Pedro Martins, Olympic athlete from Associação Cultural Desportiva Che Lagoense, Tito januário, from Clube Naval de Portimão, Valter Guerreiro, from the Bicross Club of Portimão, José Marques, president of Portinado and Joaquim Paulino, former regional director of the Portuguese Sports Institute.

Teia D'Impulsos will be represented on the panel by Joaquim Baptista. The moderation of the brainstorming will once again be in charge of Nuno Silva.

The meeting is open to all interested parties, who will be able to watch it live and actively participate in the debate. This will be recorded in audio format, and later broadcast, on a deferred basis, by Rádio Costa D'Oiro in the program “Impulso”.

This Teia D'Ideias will once again have the organization of Teia D'Impulsos, in partnership with the Municipality of Portimão, Rádio Costa D'Oiro and with the support of Delta and the Municipal Market.

On December 12th, the 3rd episode of the 2nd edition of Teia d'Ideias is scheduled under the theme “Associativism and the City – Together or with their backs turned?”.
