The fire in the Retail Park in Portimão started at the De Borla store and was caused by the overheating of plastics due to the lights on, with no evidence of criminal action. This will be the thesis defended by the Judiciary Police, which investigated the causes of the fire this month, as reported yesterday, Thursday, by TVI.

In a preliminary report, which has yet to be closed and delivered to the Public Ministry, the PJ investigators rule out the possibility of arson. The investigation was carried out by inspectors from the Criminal Investigation Department of Portimão and technicians from the Scientific Police Laboratory.

The investigation to the fire that destroyed seven stores in that commercial space in Portimão it started just over a week after the fire broke out. The technicians and inspectors of the PJ had to interrupt the work a few times, due to bad weather, but they have already managed to complete the investigation.
