This Sunday, November 25, at 15:30 pm, the afternoon at the Cine-Teatro Louletano is dedicated to children. TAL – Teatro Analysis of Loulé takes to the stage the children's play “A Nova História de João o Ratão”.
The popular story of Carochinha and her beloved João Ratão is the motto for a new story of this friendly and ultra-known couple. Only this time, João o Ratão, sulking with Carochinha and tired of being cooked in the cauldron, decides to change the direction of his story by looking for a new companion with the attributes of a good housewife, but with the proviso that there is no cauldron.
The suitors who appear at his window, a place where he touts his new status as single and handsome, after all, do not show great aptitude for housekeeping, but just to beautify his physical appearance. Disillusioned with the suitors who passed by, João o Ratão, on the advice of a nearby Mole, decided to look for Carochinha again.
The story will continue with the help of the Fairy of the Hours and a Magician who, throughout the play, will parade beautiful illusionist tricks before the audience.
