The Judiciary Police detained two men suspected of having beaten and robbed a taxi driver near Aldeia de Marim, in the municipality of Olhão, in March. An arrest announced this Wednesday and which was carried out by the Southern Directorate of this police force.
«In the early hours of March 11, 2012, in the vicinity of the village of Marim, when they were being transported in a taxi, the detainees, armed with a pistol, intimidated and subsequently beat the taxi driver, after which they appropriated money and a “tablet”, belonging to that one», he described.
"The detainees, respectively 20 and 22 years of age, will be presented to the judicial authorities for the application of the coercive measures considered convenient," added the PJ.
