The Algarve's Kartódromo Internacional hosted the Nations Supermoto for the first time, after last year it hosted a round of the Supermoto World Championship.

The big winner of the Supermoto of Nations was Italy, which won this title for the third year. The French team rose to 2nd place on the podium and the Czech Republic to 3rd. Portugal took 12th position.

It is an event that stands out for the spectacular maneuvers and dexterity of the pilots who compete on behalf of their country of origin.

The day began with a welcome message from Jorge Viegas, vice president of the FIM, followed by the presentation of the 14 teams that competed on behalf of 12 countries, before the races took place.

The Italian team knew they could win the Supermoto das Nações for the third time in the Algarve, but after the results achieved by France and the Czech Republic on Saturday, it was not so clear that this would happen.

But the reality is that he would succeed, after having proved to be the most regular team. Ivan Lazzarini (Honda), Massimo Beltrami (Honda) and Christian Ravaglia (Ktm) celebrated the title at the end.

Second place went to the French national team, with Thomas Chareyre (TM), Sylvain Bidart (Honda) and Aurelien Grelier (Yamaha), and closing the last place on the podium was the Czech Republic, with riders Pavel Kejmar (KTM), Petr Vorlicek (CZE-TM) and Tomas Travnicek (Honda), who for a moment believed they could win the title.

The Portuguese team, made up of André Carvalho (Yamaha), André Leite (KTM) and Nuno Pinto (Honda), finished in 12th place, after having done everything to be successful.

KIA says goodbye to the Supermoto das Nações, an event that brought to the best Karting track in Europe a sport that is now beginning to gain more fans in the country.
