Five teams from the Algarve competed in the second round of the Portuguese Cup, but only two make it to the next stage. Portimonense, Farense and Olhanense (who will only compete in the next round) become the only representatives of the Algarve in the Cup. Quarteirense, Lagoa and Louletano were on the way.

Portimonense moved to Académico de Viseu and beat the Beira team by two zero balls. Simmy and Márcio Madeira scored the goals.

In Quarteira, an Algarve derby was played and Farense was better. Bruno Ribeiro's team won 3-2 against Quarteirense, with goals from Fábio Marques, Fajardo and Diop, with Diamantino and Matthew scoring for the home team, in a good football match.

Louletano moved to Lourinhanense and lost 2-1, after extra time. Lagoa was defeated at home by Tondela (0-5).
