Between the 6th and 9th of September, the parish of Fuseta hosts the Pé na Terra Festival, for a grand farewell to the Algarve summer. This initiative, which has the support of the Municipality of Olhão, promotes exchange between Brazilian and African cultures.

In the middle of a year of festivities in Portugal in Brazil, the first edition of the Pé na Terra Festival is born, with lots of music for dancing, between the 6th and 9th of September, in the parish of Fuseta.

This festival is the result of a cultural exchange, where through music and dance it will be possible to explore the multiplicity of sounds, dances, costumes and colors in a mixture full of history between Portugal and two of the cultures that are in full swing in Portugal, the Brazilian and the African.

Dance will take the main stage, with dances accompanied by live bands, and various dance workshops. Samba, Maracatu or Forró are some of the best known cultural expressions present at the festival, but Capoeira, Zouk or Kizomba, among others, will also be in evidence.

It is a festival of music, dance and lots of conviviality, where some of the main faces of Brazilian music and dance in Portugal will be presented, who will participate in the party together with all those present. In an environment of union and exchange, there will be no lack of opportunities for cultural exchanges between teachers and students, musicians and music beginners.

The schedule with all the moments planned for this meeting can be found at www.festivalpenaterra.com.
