António Pina will not re-candidate for president of the Algarve Regional Tourism Authority (ERTA), nor should he even publicly support any list, but he has a well-defined idea about his successor's «model», namely that he is able to «beat the walk to Lisbon».

“I think it should be someone who puts the interests of the Algarve above party interests, who uses public money honestly and who has maturity and wisdom. This is not to say that you have to be over 55 years old, but that you have the ability to step foot to Lisbon and not be silent», he told the Sul Informação Antonio Pina.

Elections for the various bodies of the ERTA were scheduled for the 22nd of October in the session of the General Assembly of this entity that took place last Monday.

In addition to the chairman of Turismo do Algarve, the assembly, made up of representatives of public and private entities, will also choose the next chairman of the Board of the General Assembly, a position currently held by Elidérico Viegas.
