Between a delicacy and a regional sweet, the 2nd Petisco Route in Portimão offers a diversified cultural and recreational menu, from artistic exhibitions to music, through street entertainment, wine tasting and many other offers.

The program starts today, September 5th, with the initiative “There is Music on the Route”, A musical proposal that will take place almost daily between Wednesdays and Sundays along the Portimão Petisco Route in various establishments, with the participation of António Alfarrobinha, Grupo Coral de Portimão, Lurdes Carriçal, Ana Batista, R&S Accordionist Duo , Singing Group “Os Barlaventinos”, group Haja Saúde and Vera Custódio.

From today until September 15th, anyone traveling the Petisco Route should schedule a stop at the Portimão Tourist Office and enjoy the Gastronomy and Crafts Show, in which producers of regional sweets and crafts are present with live work. A mandatory visit from Monday to Friday from 09:30 am to 18:30 pm and Saturday from 09:30 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 18:00 pm

Also on this day takes place at 22:00 at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes a cocktail workshop with art & tradition, organized by the Barman Barlavento Arade Association, which will be repeated on September 21st and October 12th.

On Fridays, the test commented “Algarve Wine on the Snack Route” will take place in various catering spaces, with the participation of producers from Herdade dos Pimenteis, Quinta do Morgado da Torre, Quinta do Francês, Quinta dos Vales, Única and Quinta da Penina.

From September 6th, every Thursday and Friday and on weekends, TIPO – Children's Theater of Portimão ensures the street animation in the different areas of the Route, between 18 pm and 00 pm, setting the stage for the fun discovery of the menus available at the 20 participating establishments.

In terms of musical proposals, the piano moments with Leandro Arez on two evenings, on Saturdays September 15th and October 6th, as well as the concerts in bandstand, promoted by the Parish Council of Portimão

In artistic terms, the big highlight goes to the "Exhibition Route" which promotes local artists in various creative areas, namely: painting by Ana Bernardino (patent on Petal Doce); photography by José Carlos (Milênio II); photography by Vítor Pereira (Comidinhas); boat models by Carlos Brito (Forte and Feio); painting by Paula Faria (The Barrel); painting by João Sena (Café Creme); drawing/painting by Cristina Viana (A Casa da Isabel); sculpture by Arlindo Arez (Tabernacool 33); and sculpture by Paulo Quaresma (Porta Velha).

Highlight also to the exhibitions currently on display at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes and at ISMAT- Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes, as well as the Art and Collectibles Fair to be held on Sundays 9th and 16th of September at Largo 1º de Maio, from 19:00.

The entire daily cultural program of Rota do Petisco, with more than 80 actions, can be consulted on the respective Passport or on the website of the Teia d'Impulsos association (www.teiadimpulsos.pt), which for the realization of this gastronomic and cultural event has a partnership with the Municipality of Portimão.
