Two musical compositions in their debut, one of them worldwide, are part of the program of Rui Mourinho's guitar concert, as part of the cycle «Música nas Igrejas», scheduled for this Saturday, at 19 pm, at the Ermida de São Sebastião, in Tavira.
The guitarist and master, born in Portimão, offers the public in Tavira a national and a world premiere: Circle Line, by Stephe gun Goss (b.1964), in national premiere, and Canção de Embalar, by Cristóvão Silva (b. 1969), in world premiere.
But this weekend there will be even more culture in Tavira: today, at 20:30 pm, at Clube de Tavira, there will be fado, with the voices of Estrela Maria and Mário Saraiva, accompanied on Portuguese guitar by Miguel Drago and on fado viola by Virgílio Launches.
At 21 pm, at the Casa das Artes de Tavira, the collective photography exhibition “Paisagem Estranha Entranha” will open, featuring works by António Guerra, Armando Ribeiro, Bruno Lopes, José Paulo Ferro, Laura Hynd, Marta Covita, Maria Tomé, Natasha Revez, Paula Ferro, Tim Bowditch & Nick Rochowski.
There will also be a collective screening by Anne Holmes, Brett van Ort, Briony Campbell & Duncan Nicol Robertson, Hin Chua, Kim Haughton, Marta Moreiras and Zed Nelson, in the Lagar Museu screening room.
In Santa Luzia, at the Football Field, the Sons da Ria Festival takes place, which this Saturday, from 22 pm, presents Edu Miranda Trio and Diabo na Cruz.
Tomorrow, Sunday, 9th of September, at 22 pm, the Hotel Vila Galé de Tavira will receive another presentation of the show «Conta-me Outros Fados», which brings together music, dance and theatre.
