This year, the Festa do Pontal did not go to the Calçadão de Quarteira, but the Bloco de Esquerda will go. Tomorrow, the leader of BE Francisco Louçã and the deputy Ana Drago will be next to Praia de Quarteira, in the municipality of Loulé, in another summer rally of this party, which in 2012 has already been held in Monte Gordo and Olhão.

In this initiative, the two personalities will speak on the theme “The Troika Government is bankruptcy – how to get out of the crisis” and, of course, “question Passos Coelho about the reason that led the prime minister to choose an enclosed space, far from the population, to carry out the political rentrée of the PSD».

The Calçadão de Quarteira has been hosting the annual party of the PSD/Algarve, known as this one in Pontal, for years now and last year it had the presence of the Prime Minister. This year, the party moved to the ballroom of a water park in Quarteira, which led the main party in the coalition in government to criticize it for wanting to escape the people and possible public protests.

«The initiative will be followed by another rally, on 25 August in Portimão, with the presence of the national coordinator of the Bloc and the deputy elected by the circle of Algarve, Cecília Honório», announced the BE.

"The summer rallies are the moment when the Left Bloc, in addition to presenting alternative proposals to the right-wing government, is "accounting for" the parliamentary work carried out during the legislative session that has ended," explained the party.
