During the Sardine Festival, Portimão Cycle Chic will organize a bicycle parking area, with uninterrupted surveillance, between 18:30 and 01:00.

According to Jorge Mourinho, one of the people responsible for Portimão Cycle Chic, “no locks are needed”, because there will always be surveillance, guaranteed by the members of that group of lovers and users of the bicycle.

«We want it to be an opportunity for the population to leave their car and avoid traffic and parking difficulties when heading to the Sardine Festival, taking advantage of the riverside path and its landscape», explains Jorge Mourinho.

The initiative has a partnership with Portimão Urbis, which organizes the festival.

O Festival, which this time takes place between bridges, next to the railway bridge, starts tomorrow, the 3rd of August, and continues until the 11th of August.

For nine days, and always with the Arade River as a backdrop, at the Sardine Festival it is possible to live an experience full of surprises and emotions throughout the venue, with constant entertainment and musical and theatrical performances on three stages and zones the venue, fado, humour, various sounds ranging from jazz to folklore… in a program for all ages and tastes.

Tickets cost 5 euros, with the Family Ticket costing 16 euros and the Festival Ticket at a unit price of 30 euros, with the novelty of the Three-Day Ticket at 14 euros. Tickets can be purchased at the Portimão Tourist Office (Rua 5 Outubro), at the Urban Rehabilitation Shop (Av. S. João Deus), at TEMPO – Portimão Municipal Theater, in Aqua.
