Cyclists from the cycling clubs of Loulé and Tavira will compete in the seventh edition of the Juniors Volta a Portugal, which will take place between 30 August and 2 September. Twenty teams will participate, 17 from Portugal and three from Galicia, in an expected total of 123 runners.

The queen race of road cycling for the junior category will have four stages, totaling 352,5 kilometers, spread over three stages in line and an individual time trial. The first take has a departure and arrival in the municipality of Sabugal.

The kickoff is scheduled for 12:45, at the Soito Business Center, and the finish line will be cut at 15:30, after covering 116,6 kilometers, on Avenida 25 de Abril, in the county seat. Two second category mountain counts should allow for the first screening of values.

The second stage will take the platoon from Constância to Alcobaça, along 111,5 kilometers. The departure will be at 12:30 pm, at the Tourism Office, with arrival at the headquarters of the Alcobaça Cycling Club at 15:20, with the goal coinciding with a third category mountain prize.

The third stage marks the return of a historic mark of the sport to the velocipedic meeting. The runners will depart, at 12:30 pm, from Sicasal's facilities, in Vila Franca do Rosário, with 108 kilometers in front of the Monument to Batalha do Vimeiro, in this parish of the municipality of Lourinhã, where they should arrive at around 15:20, in one of the most mythical sites visited annually during the Torres Vedras International Grand Prix – Joaquim Agostinho Trophy.

The decisions are saved for the last stage, a selective time trial of 16,4 kilometers, corresponding to two laps of the traditional Torres Vedras Circuit, including climbing the Serra da Vila. The first runner leaves at 9:30 am.

The organization of the Juniors Volta a Portugal is the result of a partnership between the Portuguese Cycling Federation and the União Desportiva do Oeste.
