The municipal movement with Faro in the Heart (CFC) accuses the PSD/Faro to be putting pressure on the Constitutional Court in relation to the resource presented by Macário Correia of his loss of mandate as president of the Chamber of Faro.

The movement led by José Vitorino, former mayor of the Algarve capital, argues that this pressure has to do with the fact that the PSD Farense, in a statement, has given «knowledge to the Constitutional Court that it wants to support Eng. Macário Correia ».

The CFC even emphasizes that the social democrats say they want to support Macário "in view of the good performance of his functions", which, in the opinion of José Vitorino's movement, "is contrary to reality", since Macário Correia "has run over and grossly and systematically violated the basic rules of the Democratic Rule of Law».

The movement also emphasizes that, «the engineer Macário Correia, with the intolerable concept assumed and practiced of illegalities and immoralities'banal', is already condemned by the court of public opinion, regardless of the final decision of the Constitutional Court».

For this reason, the CFC has once again demanded the resignation of the current president of the Chamber of Faro, even defending that, "because it is a matter of State", the PSD should invite Macário to leave or even withdraw his political confidence if the mayor does not leave on his own initiative.
