Portimão will be, on August 16th, the host city and promoter of a special summer Beta Talk, which will inspire the sharing of ideas and networking, in an excellent and inspiring space such as NoSolo Água, at Praia da Marina of Portimão.
In August, this will be the only Beta Talk that takes place at national level, constituting a privileged meeting point for all participants in the groups that gather to talk and share ideas and experiences in the cities of Lisbon, Porto, Braga and Ponta Delgada, who will be invited to attend this session in Portimão during vacation time.
Marco Lorenzi, Mariana Ramos Mesquita and Sofia Teles will be invited to talk about the challenges they have overcome, the opportunities they have detected, what they have learned and what advice they have to give to future entrepreneurs.
Host of the space where this Beta Talk takes place, Marco Lorenzi is one of the founders and owner of the group NoSoil , created 30 years ago with the opening of the Bella Italia ice cream parlor in Portimão.
Due to the success achieved, it branched out into several areas in the Algarve, including ice cream factory, catering, restaurants/pizzerias and night spaces, and currently expanded its business to other areas of the country with franchising.
Project Mentors Taste Algarve for the preservation, promotion and dissemination of Algarvian gastronomic products and traditions, Mariana Ramos Mesquita and Sofia Teles aim to share the region's way of living and daily life through experiences that value local heritage and make the Algarve a reference destination, having professional experience in the areas of Graphic Production and Management.
In a summer environment, participants of this Beta Talk are also invited to refresh their ideas, between 18:00 pm and 19:00 pm, in a beta-dip in NosoloÁgua's pool, upon presentation of their registration.
As a toast to summer and good ideas, there will be a wine-break offered by the organization, which for this purpose has the support of NoSolo, TasteAlgarve and winemakers Quinta do Morgado da Torre, Herdade dos Pimentéis and Quinta da Penina.

The August Beta Talk counts with the special contribution of Nosolo, in addition to the local support of ETIC-Algarve and the media partnership of “Sul Informação”, with the collaboration of the University of Algarve through CRIA – Algarve Regional Center for Innovation/Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer, ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region and Inesting, in addition to Algarve Employment page at the level of dissemination, there is a receptivity for partnerships with other examples and agents of regional entrepreneurship.
Beta Taltk are the result of a collaboration protocol signed between the Municipality of Portimão and Beta-i – Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which has developed an important work in terms of creating and stimulating a culture and network of entrepreneurship and innovation, namely through the promotion of events such as TEDxEdges, which already took place in Portimão, or Silicon Valley comes to Lisbon, as well as in the acceleration of "start-ups" and easy access to investment, in the form of programs such as the Startup Weekend, in addition to the creation of spaces, services and products focused on the entrepreneur, with the association itself based in the Startup Lisboa space.
