The Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve Region (ACRAL), in partnership with merchants from the municipalities of Vila Real de Santo António, Tavira, Olhão, Faro, São Brás de Alportel and Loulé, launches tomorrow, the 10th, a fundraising campaign in favor of the victims of the fires that ravaged Serra do Caldeirão in July.

The campaign has the support of local businesses in those six Algarve municipalities and will last until 31 August.

To make a donation, the customer only has to deposit it in one of the participating stores, which are identified with the campaign poster.

ACRAL, which calls for the solidarity of all local commerce customers, hopes that this initiative will collaborate "in the rapid recovery of the burned area of Serra do Caldeirão, which greatly affected the regional economy".

The funds raised during this campaign will then be deposited in accounts created for this purpose by the Municipal Councils of Tavira and São Brás de Alportel.
