On the weekend of September 1st and 2nd, there is a party in the town of Montes de Cima in honor of Nossa Senhora da Assunção, reversing the funds raised in favor of the social work of the Parish of Mexilhoeira Grande.
On Saturday, September 1st, the kermesse opens at 19 pm, followed by music for dancing by Noémia Duarte and António Cardoso, while at 00 pm the youths Belinha and Pedro Sacramento, Lígia Agostinho, Catarina & Rita and the Rancho Folclórica da FIG tree.
As for the 2nd, the highlight is the open-air mass scheduled for 17:00 pm at the party venue, followed by a procession with the participation of the Fanfarra dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Portimão, ending the program with dance music performed by Vera Lúcia and a show with Ana Batista .
This 19th edition of the Festa dos Montes de Cima is organized by the local community, with the support of the Parish of Mexilhoeira Grande, Portimão City Council, Mexilhoeira Grande Parish Council and Figueira Folklore Ranch.
