The Municipal Library of Silves and the Social Action sector of the Chamber will promote, on the next 4th and 17th of September, the 2nd module of the workshop on Literacy Digit@l. “User training” is the proposed theme.
Increasingly, the existence and quality of human resources and goods is evaluated by their online presence and dissemination. Knowing how to take advantage of the internet, the chances of professional and personal success are incredibly greater. For all that, by attending this module, participants will train basic skills, such as searching, renewing and reserving documents in library catalogs and accessing digital books.
With free participation and aimed at adults, this training action takes place from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Municipal Library of Silves and is limited to seven trainees per session. A manual of the respective module will also be given to each participant.
The 1st module of the Digit@l Literacy workshop began in June, with the theme “active search and employment practice”.
Bearing in mind that the contents to be addressed at the workshop concern not only this practical aspect of active job search, but also the training of users, aiming at an easier access to the computer and digital universe and, consequently, to an easy resolution of practical issues related to the bureaucratic life of citizens, three more modules will be held by the end of the year, with themes related to the delivery of the IRS through the internet, Senior ICT and working with Open Office.
