The 6th edition of the São Brás Gym Gímnico Festival, a meeting that brings together a dozen participating groups from all over the Algarve, will take place on the 14th, Saturday, at the Dr. José de Sousa Pires Municipal Pavilion, in São Brás de Alportel.
In an initiative of the City Council, São Brás Gym is the annual stage for some of the best athletes in acrobatic gymnastics, trampolines, among other gymnastic modalities in the region.
Starting at 21:30 pm, São Brás Gym will feature artistic demonstrations by the following groups: Group of the Association of Parents and Friends of Gymnastics, from Loulé – APAGEL; LagoTramp Club, from Lagos; Gymnastics group of the Firefighters Volunteers of Silves; Louletano Sports Club; Gymnastics School and Hip Hop Group of the Workers' Culture and Sports Center of the City Council and Parish Council of São Brás de Alportel – CCD; Gymnodança Class at the Municipal Dance School; gymnasiumfaro and Gymnojoy, from Faro.
This Gymnastics Festival aims to promote acrobatic gymnastics, but also to value all clubs and associations that develop, in the communities, a continuous work in favor of sporting activity.
On this particular day, the emotions of acrobatic gymnastics have been present at the Dr. José de Sousa Pires Municipal Pavilion since the morning of the Algarve Acro Cup 2012, a regional competition promoted by the Workers' Culture and Sports Center of the Municipality and Parish Council of São Paulo. Brás de Alportel – CCD, under the technical coordination of Professor Telmo Dias and the support of the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel.
This competition that precedes the São Brás Gym takes place between 10:00 and 19:00, and is aimed at all gymnasts in the Algarve, affiliated with the Algarve Gymnastics Association, in an "open" format, where all pairs and groups compete against each other, divided by 5 levels of difficulty: elementary, progression, hopes, junior and senior.
An experience that reveals the talent, dedication and commitment of Algarve athletes and proves all the work developed in favor of acrobatic gymnastics in the Algarve.
