The union is strength is a motto that makes sense in many sectors, even in the relationship between companies. Five companies in the Algarve have joined together in the business initiative “O Bolo Rei”, which is based on mutual assistance and mutual promotion, with the main objective of making each of them reach other parts of the world more easily.

Triplesky, Algardata, Stills, Flavor and VinilConsta are companies with different areas and competences, although they have in common that they are linked to the creative sector and new technologies.

Together, they materialized the idea that together we can go further, which in this case actually means reaching thousands of kilometers away.

The initiative of these five companies in the Algarve was one of the examples of good practice in innovation in the business world presented at the first session of the conference cycle «Ativar Tavira». In addition to the “Bolo Rei” initiative, those responsible for the companies Hubel and Brisa Inovação gave their testimony.

The presentation of the Bolo Rei initiative was in charge of the responsible for the company TripleSky Bruno Fonseca and was based on the image of a world map, where many small spots could be seen, spread over several continents. «Together we can go further, alone we cannot reach so many parts of the world. Together, we are already achieving», he illustrated.

«Our companies already worked together before, perhaps some more than others. Vinilconsta worked a lot with Algardata and we [Triplesky] worked a lot with Vinilconsta. And things started to emerge, more in the sense of creating partnerships that would allow us to reach other markets where we would hardly reach alone», he explained to Sul Informação Bruno Fonseca, on the sidelines of the session.

“I can't say it's easy to find the right partners. Many things are needed, above all a big bet on quality. It is also important that we do not have the same services as our partners», he said.

A good example of how this initiative works is the “Ativar Tavira” campaign. “We were contacted by EMPET to create a brand and we tried to involve the majority of partners. In other words, all the prints were made by Vinilconsta and the video part was not made by Stills because they were in Angola doing a very important job. And that's how it works. Whoever gets the contact, tries to introduce the other partners», he revealed.

This is a way of working that is useful for the members of the “O Bolo Rei” initiative, but also for the client, as it “allows you to save a lot of time, which nowadays is very important”. «If I know how a company works, there is a great ease and a faster process. We know how to make the most of our partners», he defended.

Although partnerships could develop without an associated brand, the five partners wanted to go further. «We wanted to make these partnerships known and, in a certain way, official with an initiative. The idea of the Bolo Rei came about because it was Christmas time», said Bruno Fonseca.

Associated with the officialization of this initiative and to the launch of a website, an original marketing campaign was carried out, aimed at the many customers that each of the companies has in their portfolios, some of them large international economic groups.

And there was no lack of Bolo Rei, the pastry product, although different and made to the taste of the promoters of the initiative. “For example, some of us don't like candied fruit, so the cake instead of having that has dried fruit or chocolate,” he said.

According to Bruno Fonseca, this Bolo Rei, whose confection was commissioned by the renowned chef Jorge Lopes, served as a metaphor for the concept that the five companies launched, since, deep down, what the partners are selling is creativity in different formats. And it also served to win customers by the stomach, as each received a copy of the delicacy.
