The Parish Assembly of Portimão approved, by majority vote, the motion “Revitalization of Urban Green Spaces”, presented by the PSD Group in this municipal body.
The Social Democrats say that it is "with enormous concern" that they see the "degradation of urban green spaces in the city due to lack of maintenance", also referring that "the city of Portimão has a chronic deficit of urban green for recreation and leisure, as well as a landscape framing, a network of these spaces has not been created».
The motion also highlighted the fact that it is “in the summer period, when thousands of tourists visit the municipality, which must display a systematic green landscape arrangement, in order to create conditions, without which Portimão cannot be considered a tourist destination Of Quality".
In view of the objectives of the motion, the members of the PSD in the Parish Assembly of Portimão urged the City Council “to urgently intervene in the parish's green areas”, to “requalify and revitalize the urban fabric”.
