After bringing young graduates to the village, Projeto Querença also wants to bring children. In this case, the idea is to occupy the youngsters' free time in a Summer Camp that will start on July 2nd and will last until the 27th of the same month. Recipients are children between 5 and 12 years old and registrations can be made up to 3 days before the desired week.

The initiative, which will be promoted in partnership with the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, aims to make the rural space more dynamic, enhancing and preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the village of Querença. In other words, promote “fun and educational holidays in rural areas”.

“The aim is to motivate children to participate actively and responsibly in protecting and continuously improving the quality of the environment. Children will be offered educational and entertainment programs that address different areas of scientific knowledge in a different, dynamic and fun way, such as educational games, reuse of materials, cooking, music, cinema, plastic arts, biological swimming pool, nature walks and gardening», revealed the organization.

The activities take place from Monday to Friday, at the headquarters of the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, in the village of Querença, between 9 am and 17 pm. For registration, contact Cátia Guerreiro (964 254 612), [email protected] or Joana Garlic (914 308 804), [email protected].
