On the pitch, the Portimonense down from division, but the direction of the club alvinegro will try to stay by other means. Fernando Rocha, president of Portimonense, went to the press room at Estádio dos Barreiros to report on the delivery of an application in the League, to inspect the sixteen clubs of Liga Orangina, due to overdue wages.

Fernando Rocha, quoted by the newspaper A Bola, states that «Portimonense has gone down, but I have to say that this is not over yet. Portimonense goes down because he tries to fulfill his obligations. There are other clubs that have not fulfilled their obligations and the law states that those who do not comply must be penalized».

The leader of Portimonense also stated, quoted by the same newspaper, that «following a complaint that Covilhã made in relation to some clubs, Portimonense also took the opportunity to make a request to the League to verify the situation of all clubs in the Liga Orangina in relation to wage arrears. It's in the public domain and everyone knows who these clubs are, which sometimes don't just owe one, two, three, four, or five months'.

Fernando Rocha invokes article 58 of the Disciplinary Regulations of the League of Clubs, which punishes non-compliant clubs with subtraction of points.
