About 700 university students of different nationalities gathered in Albufeira, from April 26th to 29th, to participate in the Erasmus National Meeting 2012.
During the four days of the event, the young people took the opportunity to practice sports on the beach, parade along Rua da Oura, visit the county, among many other activities.
The mayor of the municipality welcomed them to the city, stressing that “the Municipality is always available to support events that promote sport, cultural exchange and healthy coexistence within the student community”. Desidério Silva referred that “the fact that the initiative takes place during the low tourist season, contributes to the maintenance of economic activities and to combat seasonality”.
This is the second time that Erasmus Student Network Portugal holds its meeting in Albufeira and promises to return for the year with more activities and entertainment.
