Playing table football, doing a radical hairstyle or wearing a protective suit for a quick sumo fight are some of the many activities in which visitors can join the Universidade do Algarve's 2012 Academic Week (SA) in the middle of a concert and of a visit to the stalls of course.

This year, from the 3rd to the 12th of May, «Wonderland» has a series of parallel activities, which, in addition to giving more entertainment to the venue, night after night, also give attractive prizes. For example, you can enter SA and leave with a ticket to a Summer Festival, a new mobile phone and tickets to water and amusement parks.

This set of actions is promoted by the Academic Card, but access to the initiatives is not exclusive to members. Anyone can participate, as the objective is to give visitors alternatives to the usual attractions of the student party, music and socializing in the course stalls. Thus, there will be activities from 20 pm onwards.

"The idea was to create an interactive enclosure, where there are no breaks or pauses," he explained to Sul Informação the president of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg) Pedro Barros, in other words, «a non-stop venue».

A Photo Wall, where the images of the night can be viewed, sumo fights, golf, the stall rally, a mascot race, solidarity games, table football and the most mind-blowing hairstyle competition are some of the activities planned, in addition to several games and moments of interaction with visitors, according to those responsible for the Academic Card.

Every day there will be prizes, of which the organization highlights «stays at the Aquashow Park Hotel, tickets to Isla Mágica, tickets to Aquashow Park, a Ryanair voucher, mobile phones, a Vida é Bela pack and tickets to festivals», in addition to points on the Academic Card, which can later be used in the services of AAUAlg.

«We wanted to create a relationship between the structure of SA and our services. Basically, it's about bringing the event outside its boundaries. We want people to talk about the event before and to continue talking after it ends», illustrated Pedro Barros.
