The second edition of the Algarve Design Meeting will take place on the 1st and 2nd of June at the Auditorium of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), in Faro.
Organized by the Communication Design Course at the School of Education and Communication (ESEC) of the University of Algarve and by the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve (DRCA), the main objective of the meeting is the public presentation of communication design projects and practices , developed, nationally and internationally, in areas such as: identity, web, typography, edition and illustration, which have contributed to the dynamization of a service, product, organization or region.
Since the initiative aims to reinforce the importance of Design as a strategic and fundamental discipline in economic, social and cultural development, this year's edition is dedicated to Projects, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The program Algarve Design Meeting it also includes the inauguration of an exhibition of works by the final year students of the Communication Design Course 2011/2012, which will be open until the 30th of June.
