«Por ti à hand» is the name of a new tourist, gastronomic and cultural guide, dreamed of by a citizen of Porto, Sara Ramos, and which now becomes a reality with the strategic partnerships of etic_algarve – Technical School of Image and Communication and the Web D´Implusos – Social, Cultural and Sports Association, in the organization and production of this guide.

It will be released on June 7th, at 18 pm at the Hotel Oriental in Praia da Rocha.

This first edition of the “Por ti à hand” guide will have a circulation of 50 units, to be distributed to all participating establishments, cruise port, train station, tourist office and other locations defined by the organization.

The idea arose from the inexistence, in this touristic city, of a itinerary to discover some must-visit places, in the words of Sara Ramos, mentor of this project. “With this itinerary, we hope that those who visit us will fall in love with this land that has so much to offer as much as we do”.

«The guide “Por ti à hand” inaugurates a journey, a journey through the city. It proposes a sensitive and attentive look at spaces, mandatory stops for everyone who arrives here and are passing through, but also for those who live here», explain the editors.

Within all the richness that is discovered in Portimão, the guide heads to the heart of its culture. In all destinations marked on the itinerary, the marks of history and stories, from art to architecture and trade to crafts, are printed. All give the city its unique character, bringing together the spaces where it hosts cultural events from all over the world.

The guide «Por ti à hand» also presents a number of commercial establishments that have withstood the test of time, which they called “Rota do Pastado”.

The synergy created between the organizers and all the partners who believed in the project is presented as «the greatest success of this document, as several excellent establishments in Portimão, Praia da Rocha, Alvor and Ferragudo are represented, referring to various economic activities (restoration and beverages, hotels, leisure and sport)».

The graphic design of the guide was in charge of Cristina Viana, a student of the Communication and Multimedia Design course at etic_algarve.

etic_algarve – Technical School of Image and Communication, «with a pioneering spirit, has always invested in technical training in the audiovisual areas, of a practical nature, for those who want a quick entry into the world of work. For us, contact with the market starts at “home”», explains the school.

In addition to the conditions provided, contact with the market is also carried out through numerous practical exercises, where students have several chances to visit companies, develop work for brands and real companies and participate in events.

“Teia D'Impulsos – Social, Cultural and Sports Association” is a non-profit association that started its action in 2011, in Portimão, with the mission of promoting cultural, recreational, training, sports, environmental and sports activities. other fields open to the community of the Algarve's municipalities, in collaboration with other local entities, aiming at the human, social and cultural development of the populations concerned.
