The exhibition “…from dream to mirage…”, by Silvestre Raposo, can be visited at the Municipal Library of Silves from 9th to 31st May.

When visiting this exhibition, the public can travel in a world between dream and mirage, with works that integrate the multiple creative facets of the author, ranging from poetry and sculpture to photography, a reflection of a 30-year journey (between 1982 and 2012) by Silvestre Raposo in the fields of plastic expression and literature.

On display at the João de Deus Museum House until the 4th of May, the exhibition “…from the dream to the mirage…”, can now be visited in Silves, at the Municipal Library, from Tuesday to Friday, from 3:6 am to 10:00 pm and on Saturdays from 19:30 pm to 14:00 pm.

Born in Vila Nova de S. Bento, Serpa, Silvestre Raposo has a degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Classic University of Lisbon. He was a member of the Pedagogical Council of the Faculty and of the General Assembly of the Universidade Clássica de Lisboa, professor of Graphic Design in Postgraduate Studies at the Dom Afonso III University Institute – Loulé, Masterclass for Directors of INUAF – Loulé, professor of several free courses in Art, in areas of Painting, Drawing and Audio Visual and in other areas such as History of Art, Drawing and Sociology of Art.

He was also director of the Municipal Art Galleries of Moura and Mourão, where he promoted around 90 exhibitions. He is the author of several literary works and numerous works of painting, drawing, photography, design, trophies and sculpture; having been awarded some prizes. He participated in more than a hundred exhibitions in Portugal and abroad.
