Carlos Gomes (Xyami/Fagor/Nova Vida) and Ana Antunes (JP Bike Clube) this Sunday won the Alte Marathon, the second scoring event for the XCM Sport Zone Portugal Cup. The race was a success, with the participation of more than 400 competition runners and around 1800 leisure runners.

The 83 kilometers of the men's race started at high speed, but it was the mountain, in the middle of the course, that dictated the final result. Taking advantage of the wear and tear of the competition as he passed through the Malhão tracks, Carlos Gomes attacked, isolated himself and ended up winning alone, taking the opportunity to take command of the overall Cup, both in the absolute category and in the veteran A category, which he belongs to. .

The second place in Alte was José Rodrigues (Vitória/Bike World) and the third Rúben Almeida (Saertex Portugal/ Bicycles Lavarinhas), the new trophy leader in the elite category.

Ana Antunes completely dominated the women's race, asserting with greater authority the first place overall in the Portugal Sport Zone Cup. He attacked early and completed the outstanding test.

This was followed by Celina Carpinteiro (BTT Loulé/BPI), second, and Magdalena Balana, third. Lia Seabra (Galitos/Ciclismo 1904 Slowdown) was the best veteran, reinforcing the command of the Cup.

Alfredo Hernandez (GD Volta da Pedra) beat the competition in veterans B, João Marques (BTT Seia) was the best veteran C and Pedro Garcia won the paracycling race. BTT Seia collectively triumphed.
