The II Almadrava Fado Contest “Ah Fadista!” runs from the 7th to the 28th of April. Helena Castro, Mário Saraiva, Teresa Viola and Aurora Gonçalves give voice to Saturday nights.
The first round takes place on the 07th, at 22 pm, in the Hall of the Parish Council of Santa Luzia, with the performance of Helena Castro.
For April 14, at 22 pm, at the Casa do Povo in Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, fado singer Mário Saraiva will be in the second round.
The third phase of the competition takes place, on the 20th, at 22 pm, in Cabanas de Tavira, with the participation of Teresa Viola.
The final of the competition is scheduled for the 28th, at 21 pm, at the Cineteatro António Pinheiro, with the performance of the winner of the 30 edition, Aurora Gonçalves.
The "Ah Fadista!" is an initiative of the Almadrava Association, which has the support of the Municipality of Tavira. The musical direction of the contest is the responsibility of Ricardo Martins and Aníbal Vinhas.
