RUA FM – Rádio Universitária do Algarve presents, on April 6th and 7th, at FNAC da Guia, the Projeto Sul Azul, edited by RUA FM, produced by Carlos Norton and Leila Leiras.

Sul Azul is a celebration and promotion of the Algarve region, of Algarve music and bands. Its main intention is to promote the region and regional bands nationally and internationally.

The theme Azul, authored by Carlos Norton, was given to nine bands from the Algarve, so that they could set it to music in their own style.

Marenostrum, Deep:Her, Sphinx, Migna Mala, Nobre Ventura, Camaleão Azul, Vá-de-Viró, Santa Mouraria and OrBlua responded to this challenge, which resulted in a record edition, distributed free of charge initially to partners and the national media , contributing to the dissemination of the musical projects involved.

On October 14 and 15, 2011, the South Blue was officially presented at Teatro Lethes, in concert format, with the presence of the participating bands.

In the same month, he was present at WOMEX – World Music Expo, in Copenhagen, Denmark, in what is the largest music fair in the world.

From the presentation at the Lethes Theater resulted in a DVD with the moments in which the bands presented their version of the theme Azul.

Now, it's time to make Sul Azul available to the public, in a special edition (CD+DVD), limited to 150 copies, which will be on sale exclusively at FNAC da Guia and whose launch is accompanied by four showcases with bands participating in the project.

Thus, on Friday, April 6th, perform the Migna Mala (17:00) and Esfinge (21:30). Saturday, April 7th, Nobre Ventura (17:00) and OrBlua (21:30) will be heard.

The project, which had the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, AMAL and some Municipal Councils, now sees its Special Edition being launched with the support of FNAC.
