This Thursday, April 12, at 18 pm, at the Interpretative Center of Dried Fruits, in Loulé, another session of the Slow Taste Workshops will take place. In this fourth workshop, promoted by Slow Food Algarve, with the support of the Municipality of Loulé, “Aromatic Herbs” will be the theme discussed.

The coordination of the workshop will be in the charge of two members of the Slow Food Algarve Association – Dora Barradas and Conceição Cabral Silva – who, in addition to the multicultural approach to the topic, will make a small gastronomic demonstration.

Currently acting as deputy to the Presidency of the Municipality of S. Brás de Alportel, Dora Barradas has a degree in Social Education from the University of Algarve, and is currently completing her master's degree. She was responsible for creating the Youth Support Center and cultural animator. He has the Young Development Agents course (1989-1991) and the Planning Technicians Course (1991-1992). He teaches cooking workshops where chocolate is the main player.

Conceição Cabral e Silva is an agronomist and one of the most important personalities in the area in the Algarve region. She is regularly invited to numerous national and international congresses, where her in-depth knowledge and great sympathy have made her stand out.

He runs Quinta do Freixo, in Benafim, a farm that was for many years the largest farm in the Algarve. Today it is an agritourism unit where visitors can, in addition to rest, also take walks and walks across the terrain, hunting and engaging in agricultural activities.

The compotes are of great quality, the raw material of which is produced on the farm in organic mode.
