Cycling: Serpa hosts the SRP 160 Ultramarathon, in Almancil there is a Solidarity Tour

A week after the start of the Elite and Under-23 Liberty Seguros Cup in Portugal, it is the turn of all the female, junior and male cadets to start the respective regularity trophy.

The first scoring race for the Women's Cup of Portugal will take place on Saturday, April 14th. The departure will be given at 14:30 pm, at the headquarters of the ACD Milharado. The elite runners will cover 68,6 kilometers, the juniors will complete 49,4 kilometers and the cadets will cover 34,6 thousand meters.

The next day, in Paio Pires, the Cadets and Juniors Cup starts. The youngest ones compete from 10:00 am, having 67 kilometers ahead, with departure and arrival at the local Parish Council. With the same starting and ending point, the juniors hit the road at 15:00 to compete over 124,9 kilometres.

The regional championships of the different MTB disciplines will also liven up the next cycling weekend. The DiverLanhoso adventure park, in Póvoa de Lanhoso, receives, at 14 pm on Sunday, the third competition of the Olympic cross country Minho Region. On the same date, the third scoring event for the Zon Azores Cup and the third Totalbike Cup will take place in the Azores.

Also on Sunday, at 10:00 am, the starting shot for the Abrantes Marathon, which is part of the Santarém Marathon Regional, will be given. Also on Sunday, the first race of the Porto de Marathons Regional Championship, the Senhora da Graça Marathon, will take place in Mondim de Basto. from 14:00.

The cycling schools come into action on Saturday, the day chosen for the Matosinhos Youth Liberty Seguros Circuit, which will take place from 14:30 pm.

Combining competition and leisure, the Mortágua Marathon is scheduled for 9:30 am on Sunday, and participants can choose between the 75-kilometer challenge or the 45-kilometer half-marathon.

In Alentejo, the difficulty will be greater, on Saturday. Serpa it hosts the SRP 160 Ultramarathon, a 160 km event. The less daring can decide on the SRP 80 Marathon, with “only” 80 kilometers. The departure will be at 8:00 am.

Leisure tours are also part of the Sunday agenda. The Cascais Hippodrome will be the starting and finishing point for the Cascais de Bicla event, which will have a distance of 43 kilometers and start at 9:30 am.

In the Algarve, the Almancil Solidarity Tour. The departure is scheduled for 9:00 am and the cyclists will travel 71 kilometers, starting and ending with the Associação Cultural de Almancil.
