The elite and sub-23 Liberty Seguros Portugal Cup starts this Saturday, April 7, in Póvoa de Varzim. The Primavera Clássica was the race chosen to start the main regularity trophy in Portuguese professional cycling.

The runners will cover 131 kilometers, departing at 11:00 am and arriving at around 14:00 pm at Avenida dos Banhos. The other events that score for the Liberty Seguros Portugal Cup are the Bruno Neves Memorial (13th May), the Classic of the Alpendre Restaurant (19th of May), the Classic of Amarante (27th of May) and the Volta a Albergaria-a- Old (June 17).

From the Algarve, Carmim/Prio/Tavira will be attended by cyclists Samuel Caldeira, Nelson Vitorino, Tomás Metcalfe, Luís Silva, João Pereira, Amaro Antunes, Diogo Nunes, and Valter Pereira.

On the sidelines of the Portuguese Cup, but as part of the Spring Clásica sports programme, the Clássica da Primavera in Cycling for All will take place next Saturday, open to federated and non-federated members, and the Porto de Estrada Regional Championship for veterans and amateur elites. The departure of this event is scheduled for 15:30.
