Olhanense lost this night to FC Porto by 2-0, traveling to Estádio do Dragão. After stealing points from Benfica last week in the fight for the title, the rubronegra team could not avoid defeat against the blue and white team, who scored a goal in each half.
The first goal of the match, which marked Sérgio Conceição's return to the bench after being suspended, came in the 24th minute by Lucho González. The Argentinian midfielder shot low from the edge of the area and managed to beat Fabiano Freitas who, until now, had been an insurmountable barrier for the FC Porto team.
The Brazilian keeper of Olhanense, who made a great display and had a lot of work, was only beaten again in the 67th minute, when James Rodríguez, in the half-moon of the penalty area, took Jander out of the way and sent a cross to the back of the net.
With this defeat, Olhanense maintains the eighth place in the table with 29 points, but can be equaled in the standings by Gil Vicente, who will only play tomorrow.
