José Estrangeiro (Academic Association of Coimbra) and Vanessa Pereira (Charity Multisport Racing) this Sunday won the first Long Distance Triathlon of the 2012 season, which took place in Monte Gordo.

The challenge consisted of 1900 meters of swimming, 90 kilometers of cycling and 21 kilometers in the running segment, with 170 athletes participating, many of whom were Spaniards.

Collectively, Garmin Olímpico de Oeiras won in the womens sector and assumes the leadership in the national clubs.

In men's, the collective podium was occupied by Garmin Olímpico de Oeiras, Peniche Amigos Clube and Triathlon Club de Almada. As in the women's, this Sunday's result allows Olímpico de Oeiras to rise to the first place in the Nacional de Clubes.
