With the approach and passage of a frontal surface, the Forecast Center of the Institute of Meteorology predicts for tomorrow, Saturday, March 17, very cloudy skies, with periods of rain, in the North and Center regions, during the early morning and morning hours , gradually changing to showers towards the end of the afternoon.
Above 1200/1400 meters, the precipitation that may occur will be snow, lowering the quota to 800/1000 meters at the end of the day.
This situation is accompanied by a drop in the maximum temperature, with forecasts for Lisbon at 17°C, Porto at 13°C, Bragança at 12°C and Penhas Douradas at 7°C.
For Sunday, the 18th, after the passage of the frontal surface, and with the entry of a mass of cold air that will affect the entire territory, a small drop in the maximum and minimum temperature is expected.
To the north of the Montejunto-Estrela system, showers are expected to occur, which will be snow above 800/1000 meters.
From Monday, the 20th, dry weather is expected to return, with lightly cloudy or clear skies. This situation is expected to continue until Sunday, March 26, and will be accompanied by a marked cooling at night and a small rise in the maximum temperature.
