The Judiciary Police, through the Southern Directorate and with the collaboration of the GNR of Beja and the Spanish Guardia Civil, identified and detained a man for the alleged practice of a crime of robbery using a firearm.
On February 1st, in Vila Verde de Ficalho – Serpa, the defendant entered a bank branch and, armed with a shotgun with sawn pipes, intimidated the officials into giving him the sum of around 13.000 euros.
The 55-year-old detainee will be presented to the competent judicial authorities to apply the coercive measures deemed appropriate.
