Three detainees, weapons and seized drugs were the result of the operation launched by the GNR this morning and which involved house searches in three houses in the Jacinto Correia neighborhood, in Poço Partido (Carvoeiro, Lagoa), culminating an investigation related to possession of prohibited weapons and theft .
The investigation was in charge of the GNR's Territorial Detachment of Silves and had started two months ago.
As a result of the searches, three individuals aged 18, 21 and 30 years were arrested, a revolver and eight 6.35 mm caliber ammunition and two shotgun shells, four self-opening melee weapons, as well as about 1000 doses of hashish and a precision scale.
In the residences were found several objects of jewellery, LCD televisions, about two dozen mobile phones, 10 digital cameras, stereos, DVD recorders, material that the authorities assume came from thefts that occurred in the municipality of Lagoa.
In the operation, two individuals aged 36 and 40, of Guinean and Senegalese nationality, who are in an illegal situation in the national territory were also detained. Two more foreigners were notified to appear at the SEF, to regularize their stay in Portugal.
