The Wind Quintet with Orquestra do Algarve are the guests of honor at the opening of the 2012 season of Ciclo de Sons, in a concert scheduled for January 15th at Igreja do Colégio, starting at 18:00.

The concert, with free entry, will be performed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's “Wind Quintet in C minor”, ​​considered the greatest musical genius ever, and the virtuoso composer's “Sopro Quintet, Nº 3, in D Major Op.91” Anton Reicha, and Joseph Haydn's “No.1 B-flat Wind Quintet Fun” by Joseph Haydn, another of the great names of classical music.

The Wind Quintet is composed by Jessica Crutzen (flute), David Fresquet (oboe), Cristina Anton (clarinet), Joaquim Moita (bassoon) and Thomas Gomes (horn), all of them musicians from Orquestra do Algarve, which will return on 25th March to Igreja do Colégio for another concert of this Cycle of Sounds, an initiative of the Municipality of Portimão.
